Your brain isn't broken. It's wired differently — and you need a therapist who gets what that's like in college.

You’ve tried the productivity apps. The study TikToks. Telling yourself you just need more willpower. And you’re still white-knuckling your way through every semester.

As a therapist for college students with ADHD & those who are autistic, I provide support at an accessible price.

By telehealth anywhere in Texas.

A Therapist Who Gets a Brain Like Yours.

She got her ADHD diagnosis in college, too. She isn’t learning this secondhand.

Crystalena is autistic and has ADHD. She was the kid who was “so smart” and had “so much potential” but ran into a wall when she got to college. She couldn’t do school the way everyone expected.

After graduating, Crystalena spent 15 years teaching middle school as a special-education-certified teacher. She also has a Ph.D. in human development from the University of Tennessee.

These days, her Nacogdoches office is less than a 10-minute drive from Stephen F. Austin State University, so a good chunk of her college caseload is SFA students — but the $30 rate works no matter which Texas campus you’re on.

The goal is never to make you more “normal.” It’s to help you build the tools to thrive in a world that wasn’t built for your brain.

Why Work With Us

Neurodivergent-Affirming Support

Not here to make you "normal". Here to help you build a life that fits your brain.

Lived Experience + Professional Expertise

Support from a therapist who dealt with ADHD and neurodiversity in college.

Practical, Real-World Guidance

Help with executive function, time blindness, task paralysis, and procrastination spirals — plus the sensory overload and social exhaustion that can come with being autistic on a campus built for neurotypical brains.

This Is Yours - No Parents Required

Cash pay means no insurance statements showing up for others.

Start With a Free Conversation.

Whatever’s going on, you don’t need to have it all figured out first. A free 20-minute conversation is just to see whether this feels like a good fit—no pressure either way.

Consultations are free, and currently available within a week of booking.

I set aside a portion of my caseload at $30/session (50 minutes) only for college students. There’s no insurance billing: Sessions are cash-pay, which keeps things private and means we’re not limited to whatever a diagnosis code allows.

Answering Common Questions

Do you offer telehealth?

The $30 student rate and everything else on this page works the same by telehealth anywhere in Texas. You don’t have to be a student at SFA or located in Nacogdoches.

Because I don’t bill insurance, there’s no explanation of benefits or claim showing up in a parent’s mailbox or online portal. As an adult client, what we talk about in session is between us. If a parent is helping cover the cost, that’s a conversation we can navigate however feels right to you. There’s no requirement they are involved in anything else.
